On Sunday, February 10 our pastor continued on this topic. His subtopic was "Don't Play with the Enemy". The focus thought was from Judges 16:1-23. Here we come to the conclusion of Samson's story. He ended up in bondage because he let the enemy in. This should be a lesson to us not to play with the enemy, because we WILL lose. He's been there for thousands of years. Scripture tells us that the power of life and death are in the tongue, and many of us have let the devil know where we are by speaking too much, and he uses it against us.
Anything you put before God is an idol. In verse 20 Samson said he was going to "...go out as at other times before...", but he didn't realize that he had no power. He did not realize that the Spirit of God had left him. Be careful saints of God, that you do not end up in this place, for it is real and possible, and almost inevitable, if you disobey God's Word.
